Frequently Asked Questions

How much are the annual assessments?  When are they due?

Annual assessments for 2024 are $135.  The amount is adjusted based on budgetary needs on an annual basis. Typically dues are between $99 to $135 (approximately). Annually, dues are mailed out and invoiced via QuickBooks in January. Dues need to be paid by March 31st of each year.

What do the assessments cover?

Essentially, our neighborhood was developed contingent on a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection. That permit required the formation of a Homeowners Association for the care and maintenance of a detention pond and green space. Our assessments cover the insurance, maintenance, legal needs, taxes, annual report etc. to protect the greenspace and pond.

Are roads public? Is there public trash pick up?

The roads in our neighborhood are public and maintained by the Town of Topsham. There is no public trash pick up. Several neighbors use private trash companies. You can also take your trash and recycling to the Topsham Solid Waste Facility located at 97 Townsend Way, Topsham. https://www.topshammaine.com/solid-waste
